Editor's Notes
I checked if I could find out the temperature in upstate New York in 1921 to see what John's idea of "scorching" was but couldn't find records that go back that far.

My Darling Sue,
It seems to take me a long time to move. Will get to Binghamton about noon and we'll be glad to get your letter that has been waiting there for me. Yesterday was a scorching hot day. I waited here a long time to get a party yesterday and finally got an order for $28.00. I didn't get ready to go until about 8:00 o'clock and as this is such a delightful place, decided to stay overnight. After supper, I drove out about a mile and a half to a town where I missed seeing a party yesterday and got an order for $28.00. We had four little orders yesterday for a little under $100. Have four blue ribbon towns for the two days and five new customers.
Soon after the 4th I am going to Geneva and don't you think you can manage to go with me? We could go by way of Elmira and up alongside of Lake. It would be fine and we could arrange it so would not cost us much.
I must get busy this morning. Give love to Marion and rest of folks.
You're loving
Jack

John has excellent handwriting. However, in some instances, I cant decipher it. If I can't, I simply mark the spot with "xxx"s to signify thank the word isn't decipherable.
