My Darling:

Your brief note received tonight. I am glad your guests had such a nice time. It has been a beautiful day and quite warm. Have worked pretty steady today but with poor results, four sm

all orders for $58, $127.96. $28.36 and $77.70. I spent quite a long time with Mr. King on monthly calendars but could not land him. Probably a real salesman will come along in two or three days and land him. Have called on enough calendar buyers this week to have g

iven me a big week, but they have not come through for me.

Love unmeasured.

Will likely Sunday here.

John

Editor's notes

I want to note the New York Times headline attacking the League of Women Voters as a "menace." As we're fighting so hard for equity today, it's interesting to look back at the tactics used to silence people trying to build a more progressive union.
