My dear Sue:

I got into Towanda last night or this morning at 1:30 and got up early to put in a good day. Train was hour and a half late and it has put a crimp in my plans. Have had to stay here all day and have only and order for $113.00 Will get back to Towanda at 8 p.m. and will do some work there tomorrow. If all goes well expect to get home Sunday morning at 10-I don’t want to ever hear of another contest. It doesn’t look promising just now. Suppose I’ll have to go down to farm Sunday and spend most of day doing things I ought not to do. Hope you are not ill. Have had one letter so far this week and that I guess was written Monday night.

Love unbounded,

John

Hope you get this letter Saturday night so you may know your night’s rest won’t be broke
