My Darling,

Arrived here at about 5:00 o'clock and have just finished supper. There are hot days and have had rather rough, dusty, dusty roads as I have had to detour. I stayed in one Chianti last night so as to try on Bank Display but could not connect. Last night I attended a [Mason] Chapter meeting. There were present from 50 to 60 Cooperstown Masons, and it seemed good to see them.

Business is rather slow this week. I must put in hard work the balance of the week. No business here and I hope to leave by 10:00 o'clock at latest.

Since about 4:30 we have been having a delightful shower and air is much better. Yesterday was a scorcher.

They have been improving this hotel by paint etc and building looks much better than when we were here with Eddie last year. I must do some real moving about tomorrow and balance of week or I'll find myself behind at Saturday night.

Love for all.

John

If you're new to this project, please consider going to our site and catching up with a few letters from the 1900-1910 era. The letters only take 3-5 minutes to read and you'll find the characters more fully develop if you read the letters chronologically.

John has excellent handwriting. However, in some instances, I cant decipher it. If I can't, I simply mark the spot with "xxx"s to signify thank the word isn't decipherable.
