I feel well repaid staying out over Sunday-November 7, 1921

My Darling:

Just a word before driving to Perry. You see, even when away from home, I don't get early start, but I've had a joyful experience this morning. I have sold the Bingham State Bank in order of $158. This is the third time I've been after their order this year and previously they had balked on price and would not budge.

You can imagine that. I feel well repaid staying out over Sunday.

Last night after supper, just as I got to my room, the bell rang and I came downstairs and was given your good letter and three from Co. Wish you had sent The[Earlville] Standard.

I must start out as I have a big schedule mapped out for the week and am planning to get home Friday night.

Love unbounded,

Jack

If you're new to this project, please consider going to our site and catching up with a few letters from the 1900-1910 era. The letters only take 3-5 minutes to read and you'll find the characters more fully develop if you read the letters chronologically.

John has excellent handwriting. However, in some instances, I cant decipher it. If I can't, I simply mark the spot with "xxx"s to signify thank the word isn't decipherable.
